Police launch search for 15-year-old who disappeared with ‘unknown man’ | UK | News

Police have launched a search for a missing 15-year-old who disappeared with an “unknown man” three days ago. CCTV footage obtained by Police Scotland showed Faith Marley, from Leith, Edinburgh, was last seen on Wednesday, March 15. She boarded a 900 bus from the Scottish capital before arriving in Glasgow, where she met with the unidentified man, who police believe is aged between 20 and 30 years old.

Police said she arrived in the city shortly after 11.05am on March 15, and the pair walked towards North Hannover Street.

Miss Marley is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall with a medium build and shoulder-length dark blonde hair.

CCTV footage shows she was wearing a black hooded top with leggings and black high-top Converse shoes with white soles.

The man pictured walking with her after she disembarked her bus was described as white with dark hair and in his 20s or 30s.

He was dressed in a grey jumper, black trousers and shoes and appeared to be pulling a white or silver box behind him.

A bag was pictured on top of the box handle, and the man was also wearing a dark-coloured backpack.

Police Scotland said they remain “very concerned” for the 15-year-old and are working to identify the man.

Officers have launched a public appeal in hopes that members of the public may recognise the two from the CCTV footage.

Chief Inspector Cath Thorburn said information obtained by police inquiries suggests she has not “come to any harm”.

But, she added, the teenager has “not now been seen since Wednesday morning”.

Inspector Thorburn added: “We would urge anyone who believes they may have seen or heard from Faith at any time since Wednesday to get in touch urgently.

“We are working to identify the man seen in her company leaving Buchanan Bus Station as he may have information which could help.”

“If you know who he is or if you recognise yourself please come forward.”

People who believe they have seen the 15-year-old or the man she was with can contact the police on their 101 non-emergency line.

They will need to quote the reference number 0385 of Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
