Prince William has spoken in the past of his desire to make sure his children know about their late grandmother.
He said he wanted his children to “know who she was and that she existed”. He added that the talks to his children about “Granny Diana” at bedtime so they know “there are two grandmothers in their lives”.
The prince added: “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her and we talk about her a bit.
“It’s hard because obviously Catherine didn’t know her so she cannot really provide that level of detail, so I regularly put George and Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try to remind them that there are two grandmothers, there were two grandmothers in their lives.
“So it’s important that they know who she was and that she existed.”
Mother’s Day was marked by fellow senior royal King Charles III.
