A family has been left heartbroken after 28-year-old Ryan White suddenly died just two weeks after welcoming his daughter. Ryan died “very suddenly” on March 24, leaving behind his family, partner and daughter Darla, who was born just two weeks ago.

Tributes have poured in as friends and family grieve the Plymouth man, with his family describing him as an “all round amazing person”.

Speaking to Plymouth Live, Ryan’s family said he was “the funniest, kindest, most caring person you could ever meet”, with his death leaving them all “devastated”. 

The family has already been rocked with grief as Ryan passed away just one year after his own father died.

The family wrote: “Ryan was a loving dad, uncle, son and boyfriend and friend to many. 

“He was an all round amazing person. 

“He was the funniest, kindest, most caring person you could ever meet and to have to lost him so young has left all his family and friends devastated and he will be missed by all who knew him. 

“Ryan is now at peace with his mum, dad and sister.”

Following the heart-breaking death, the man’s brother Lee set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for the funeral.

So far, the fundraiser has cashed in £1,508, out of a £1,000 goal with 61 donations after being set up only yesterday.

Lee described his brother as a “devoted dad” who will be “sadly missed”.

In an update, Lee wrote: “Thank you to everyone who has donated or is thinking of donating. This is greatly appreciated and will go towards the cost of Ryan’s funeral.” 

He wrote a touching tribute to his brother where he said: “He left us very suddenly leaving behind many family members including his partner Beth and beautiful newborn daughter Darla whom he both adored and loved becoming a father recently.

“Ryan was a lovely young man devoted to his little girl and partner and will be sadly missed any funds donated with be thankfully received and appreciated by all the family.”

A close friend of Ryan, who knew him for almost 20 years, said it has been a “heart-breaking situation for everybody involved” and added that he hopes that donations will go towards “the send off he deserves”.
